The Sunrise Senior Center has undergone a transformative renovation and expansion, elevating its role as a hub for senior engagement and wellness. The comprehensive interior upgrades modernize essential spaces such as the fitness room, arts and crafts room, teaching kitchen, and the well-loved Burgundy Room. Enhancements to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, audiovisual, and security systems bring the facility up to today’s standards of performance and safety.
BUILDING FOR THE FUTURE OF SENIOR WELLNESS AND ENGAGEMENT
A key highlight of the project is a newly constructed 2,356-square-foot addition, which introduces a state-of-the-art computer training room and a vibrant game room, supporting both digital literacy and social interaction. Complementing the interior improvements, the site has been enhanced with new parking areas, upgraded lighting, landscaping, irrigation, and a dedicated dumpster/storage building. Together, these upgrades ensure the center remains a welcoming, modern environment that promotes learning, wellness, and connection for Sunrise’s senior community.
