The Lindsey Davis Senior Center underwent a thoughtful renovation to elevate both comfort and capacity for the senior community it serves. The 7,778-square-foot, one-story facility received architectural and interior updates aimed at enriching user experience while maintaining the familiar warmth and character of the existing building.
EXISTING VERANDA ENCLOSED TO EXPAND MULTIPURPOSE ROOM FOR CLASSES AND EVENTS
A key element of the renovation was the enclosure of the existing veranda, expanding the multipurpose room to better accommodate group activities, classes, and social events. In tandem, the public restrooms were enlarged and upgraded, ensuring accessibility and ease of use for daily visitors and larger gatherings. The project also included the replacement of roof shingles and underlayment, improving the structure’s durability and long-term resilience.
Inside, the center continues to offer vital resources and amenities such as a kitchen, pantry, computer lab, administrative offices, and two adaptable multipurpose rooms that can be used independently or as a unified gathering space. The design team ensured the new elevations blend seamlessly with the original architecture, preserving a sense of familiarity while introducing a refreshed, more efficient layout.
