New Beach Library

Pompano Beach, FL

The New Beach Library in Pompano Beach is a thoughtfully designed civic anchor that honors coastal heritage while embracing the community’s future. Envisioned as both a cultural and educational resource, this LEED-certified, one-story library spans approximately 5,400 square feet, including a generous front veranda that reflects the welcoming spirit of Florida Vernacular architecture.

CRAFTED FOR CONNECTION, BUILT TO ENDURE

The design draws inspiration from local history, future cultural arts opportunities, and potential transit connections—creating a space that not only serves readers but also functions as a hub of community identity and public engagement. The building’s structure features masonry walls and a pitched metal roof, with material selections and detailing that emphasize both durability and regional character.

The surrounding site was developed to ensure accessibility and connectivity, with carefully integrated sidewalks, driveways, bike racks, landscaping, drainage infrastructure, site lighting, water and sewer systems, and a dedicated parking area with a dumpster enclosure. These components support sustainability while enhancing the overall pedestrian experience and neighborhood compatibility.

The design places a strong emphasis on quality craftsmanship, neighborhood integration, and pedestrian activity, fulfilling the City of Pompano Beach’s vision for a meaningful, beautifully built public facility that leaves a lasting impression for generations to come.
