Lantana Public Library
Lantana, FL
The recent renovation of the Lantana Public Library reflects a forward-looking investment in both community infrastructure and user experience. Focused on the main floor, the reconfigured layout introduces a modern and welcoming environment that includes a central stacks area, an adult reading room, a dedicated children’s section, and a thoughtfully designed teen area—each supporting diverse patron needs across all age groups.
CONSTRUCTING A MODERN LIBRARY WITH NEW SPACES AND IMPROVED SYSTEMS

Mechanical upgrades were performed with care to retain the building’s core systems. While the existing mechanical mezzanine and electrical room remain unchanged, modifications were made to the main HVAC system, and a new split system was installed for the meeting room to improve comfort and efficiency. Interior enhancements included new ceilings, partitions, and upgraded finishes throughout the space.
One of the more creative transformations involved enclosing the former drive-up teller area under the existing roof to create a new, flexible community room—offering an additional venue for events, workshops, and civic gatherings. This space also received a new roof, ensuring its longevity.
To complement the indoor improvements, the project introduced expanded restrooms, new landscaping, additional parking, and a fresh coat of exterior paint, rounding out the library’s comprehensive modernization.
Together, these enhancements position the Lantana Public Library as a more accessible, inclusive, and inviting public asset for years to come.
