Barrier Free Park

Boynton Beach, FL

The Barrier Free Park improvement project focused on creating a more inclusive, accessible, and welcoming outdoor environment for individuals of all ages and abilities. Central to the upgrades were the construction of three 180-square-foot single-story restroom buildings, built from durable concrete block and unified under a pre-engineered metal roof structure for both aesthetic cohesion and protection from the elements.

COMMUNITY-FOCUSED SITE IMPROVEMENTS SUPPORT ACCESS FOR ALL

The project also introduced a 660-square-foot prefabricated metal picnic shelter, designed to accommodate community gatherings, picnics, and recreational use. Around these key structures, extensive site improvements were completed, including the installation of accessible playground equipment, new site furnishings, and trails that encourage inclusive movement throughout the park.

Complemented by landscaping and a modern irrigation system, the revitalized Barrier Free Park stands as a model of universal design, ensuring that children and adults of all physical abilities can experience nature, play, and community connection in a safe and beautifully enhanced setting.
