Beachwalk
Miami Beach, FL
The Beachwalk Project reimagines coastal access with the construction of a new ADA-compliant pedestrian pathway, offering a seamless, scenic route between 3rd Street and 5th Street. Designed for accessibility, safety, and environmental sensitivity, the pathway brings a thoughtful blend of infrastructure and natural preservation to the shoreline.
ON-GRADE PAVER WALKWAY WITH TURTLE-FRIENDLY LIGHTING INSTALLED

The project features an on-grade paver walkway bordered by low-level bollard lighting, ensuring visibility and comfort for pedestrians during evening hours while complying with Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission guidelines to protect marine turtle nesting habitats.
Surrounding the pathway, exotic dune vegetation was carefully removed and replaced with native plant species, promoting dune stabilization and ecosystem resilience. The landscape improvements are supported by a beach-compatible dune fill system and integrated irrigation, providing long-term sustainability and minimal environmental impact.
With a balance of design precision and ecological respect, the Beachwalk enhances public access to the coast while preserving the natural beauty and function of the dune environment—serving as a model for thoughtful beachfront development.
