The Mitchell Moore Aquatics Center project in Pompano Beach involved the complete transformation of a dated facility into a modern, competitive-ready swimming complex. The scope began with the demolition of the existing pool and bathhouse structure, making way for a newly constructed 2,900-square-foot building. This facility now accommodates ticketing and concession areas, accessible family restrooms, standard restrooms, lifeguard quarters, and a dedicated pool pump room.
EUROPEAN-STAINLESS STEEL COMPETITION POOL INSTALLED WITH DIVING AND RACE EQUIPMENT
At the heart of the project is a state-of-the-art stainless steel competition pool, imported from Europe, equipped with one-meter dive stands, starting blocks, backstroke flags, and lane line dividers—making it ideal for both training and official swim meets. The site was further enhanced with new perimeter fencing, railings, sports lighting, sod, and lush landscaping. With a strict timeline driven by grant funding requirements, the project was delivered on schedule, providing the community with a vibrant and professionally outfitted aquatics venue for recreational and competitive use alike.
