Muss Park Pavilion

Miami Beach, FL

The transformation of Muss Park introduces a modern and resilient space that elevates the park experience for the surrounding community. Replacing the former pavilion and playground, the project includes a new 4,000-square-foot LEED Silver Certified pavilion, crafted to support a wide range of recreational programs, gatherings, and public events.

PAVILION BUILT WITH FLOOD-ELEVATED FOUNDATION AND MODERN AMENITIES

The pavilion is equipped with two ADA-accessible restrooms, a reception/office area, serving kitchen, storage room, and mechanical room, all designed to meet the needs of park visitors and staff. A key feature of the design is the automated door system, which allows the space to be enjoyed as an open-air pavilion or enclosed shelter during inclement weather—making it ideal for year-round use.

Set on elevated soil pads at Base Flood Elevation +2’ NAVD, the new structure is built with long-term resilience in mind. Site improvements also include future playground areas, restored open green space, and a landscape plan that preserves mature canopy trees and relocates select palms within the park to maintain its established character.

With its sustainable design and thoughtful amenities, the Muss Park Pavilion enriches the park’s offerings while respecting the natural beauty and needs of the community.
