The transformation of North Pompano Park reflects a comprehensive commitment to revitalizing community recreation across this expansive 20-acre site. The modernization project focused on upgrading and diversifying the park’s athletic, fitness, and support infrastructure to accommodate a wide range of users and activities.
NEW SYNTHETIC TURF FIELD AND MULTI-PURPOSE FIELD UPGRADES
Major athletic improvements included two conventional turf multi-purpose fields and the installation of a regulation-size synthetic turf football field, engineered for high performance and durability in all weather conditions. New HS-grade goal systems and safety/ball netting were installed to elevate play and ensure safe usage.
The project also included paving and drainage upgrades, landscaping and irrigation renovations, and selective demolition to make way for a more functional and accessible layout. A new public restroom facility, gravel parking areas, and minimal hardscaping enhance usability while maintaining the park’s natural character.
Supporting amenities included the reconstruction of the walking/exercise path, fitness station additions, sports lighting, dumpster enclosure demolition, and roofing and painting upgrades to existing buildings. To enhance security and monitoring, a new CCN/ALPR system was also integrated.
With this holistic renovation, North Pompano Park has been reimagined as a modern, inclusive, and performance-ready recreational destination for athletes, families, and community members alike.
