The Pompano Beach Community Pool project focused on revitalizing a key recreational asset for the city. The project began with the demolition of the existing bathhouse facility, preserving the original concrete pool for future community use. In its place, a new 2,900-square-foot building was constructed, featuring updated amenities including ticketing and concession areas, family restrooms, standard restrooms, a lifeguard area, and a dedicated pump room to support aquatics operations.
TWO-POOL AQUATIC COMPLEX COMPLETED UNDER GRANT DEADLINE
A highlight of the project was the installation of a stainless steel competition pool imported from Europe, designed to meet high-performance swimming standards. The pool includes one-meter dive stands, starting blocks, backstroke flags, lane dividers, and a dedicated learn-to-swim area—providing access for both serious competitors and community learners. The facility was completed under a strict deadline to meet grant requirements and features extensive enhancements such as new fencing, railings, sod, and landscaping. The result is a vibrant and inclusive aquatic complex with two pools, capable of hosting events and serving a wide range of community needs.
