Waterway Park

Riviera Beach, FL

Waterway Park is a 30-acre waterfront recreational destination designed to enhance community access to South Florida’s unique coastal environment. The project features three public boat ramps with associated docks, a spacious parking area for trailers and vehicles, a modern restroom building, and a fishing pier with an overlook offering expansive views of the surrounding waterways.

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPROVEMENTS ENHANCE PARK’S RECREATIONAL AND ECOLOGICAL VALUE

To support long-term sustainability and ecological integrity, the project also included extensive infrastructure and environmental improvements. Sheet piling with pile caps stabilized the shoreline, while FDOT-standard turning lanes improved vehicular access and traffic flow. Critical habitat restoration efforts were undertaken through wetland mitigation, brush management, berm cuts, and sitewide earthwork. Native seeding and mulching supported long-term revegetation.

Waterway Park now serves as a vital recreational and ecological asset, supporting boating, fishing, and environmental education for residents and visitors alike.
