Broward County Public Safty Complex

Fort Lauderdale, FL

This fast-tracked project involved wind-hardening improvements to four critical facilities within the Broward Public Safety Complex, enhancing their resilience against severe weather. The buildings included the 15,077-square-foot District Building, the 8,900-square-foot Central Inventory Warehouse, the 12,159-square-foot Tactical Training Building, and the 6,650-square-foot Fire Rescue and Logistics Warehouse. Each structure received targeted upgrades to improve storm resistance and ensure continued public safety operations during and after extreme weather events.

RESILIENT UPGRADES STRENGTHEN DURABILITY AND READINESS

Scope of work included the reinforcement of glass block fenestration and exterior glazed openings, along with the installation of durable grilles and louvers. Roofing systems were also addressed, with upgrades to roof accessories and improved anchorage of rooftop equipment to meet stringent wind-load standards. These enhancements support long-term durability and operational readiness across the complex.
