Fort Lauderdale EOC Fire Rescue
Fort Lauderdale, FL
Serving as a mission-critical hub for Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue, the Fire Administration and Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is a fortified, two-story, 22,775-square-foot facility strategically located at the Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport. Designed to remain operational during the most extreme conditions, the building is rated to withstand Category 5 hurricane forces—demonstrating a commitment to both resilience and uninterrupted emergency response.
REGIONAL COMMAND CENTER ENGINEERED FOR GROWTH AND RELIABILITY
The facility includes a dedicated one-story, 5,919-square-foot apparatus bay housing four drive-through garage bays for efficient front and rear access of fire and rescue equipment. Constructed with performance and longevity in mind, the building is equipped with a hot gas reheat rooftop A/C system, a centralized chiller system, a fire alarm system, UPS backup, and full lightning protection—ensuring that vital systems remain online even during major storm events.

Outside, the scope of work included full civil site development: 100-car public parking, a modern automatic irrigation system, site lighting, underground utility systems, ADA-compliant pedestrian paths, and an integrated drainage plan anchored by four retention ponds. Perimeter fencing enhances site security while supporting safe and controlled access.
With its advanced infrastructure and storm-hardened design, this facility is more than just a fire station—it's a regional emergency response command center built for the challenges of South Florida’s evolving climate and population needs.
