Pompano Beach Fire Station #24

Pompano Beach, FL

Rising from the cleared footprint of its predecessor, the newly completed Fire Station 24 is a 16,325-square-foot, two-story concrete block structure (CBS) that reflects the next generation of municipal emergency facilities. Designed with both durability and adaptability in mind, the multi-bay station was built from the ground up following the complete demolition of the original building and site.

NEXT-GENERATION FIRE STATION ROOTED IN COMMUNITY

The project encompassed comprehensive design-build services, including site preparation, civil engineering, emergency signalization, and full integration of architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems. The new facility is fully fire-protected and engineered for operational efficiency.

One of the standout features of Fire Station 24 is its commitment to sustainability—targeting LEED Silver Certification through energy-efficient systems, water-saving infrastructure, and environmentally conscious landscaping and irrigation. Modern utility connections and services were also installed, seamlessly integrating with the existing municipal grid. Equally forward-thinking is the station’s interior, which incorporates gender-inclusive dormitory spaces to better support a diverse fire service team.
