Pompano Ocean Rescue Headquarters
Pompano Beach, FL
The Pompano Ocean Rescue Headquarters has undergone a transformative renovation and vertical expansion, reinforcing its role as a critical coastal safety and response facility. Located just steps from the shoreline, the revitalized headquarters now totals 5,278 square feet and blends upgraded operational spaces with a modern architectural expression designed to meet the evolving needs of ocean rescue personnel.
A MODERNIZED COASTAL HEADQUARTERS DESIGNED FOR RAPID RESPONSE
The project began with a comprehensive site analysis, followed by full design development, construction documentation, and final project closeout. The renovation of the existing 1,920-square-foot first level included interior upgrades to restrooms, locker rooms, offices, and storage areas, along with refreshed interior and exterior finishes that enhance durability and aesthetics.

An 898-square-foot addition to the first floor now houses a new lobby, equipment staging areas, and vertical circulation elements. Above, the new 2,460-square-foot second floor supports key operations with a large meeting room, restrooms, break room, and essential building systems including a stairwell, elevator, elevator equipment room, and storage areas.
The site itself was improved with new sidewalks and landscaping, contributing to better accessibility and a refreshed public presence along Pompano Beach Boulevard. Purpose-built for efficiency, comfort, and mission-readiness, the new Pompano Ocean Rescue Headquarters offers enhanced capabilities to support the city’s vital lifeguard and ocean safety teams—serving as a model for resilient coastal emergency infrastructure.
