A jewel of Florida’s architectural heritage, the Mansion at Tuckahoe has been fully restored through a comprehensive renovation that honors its historical significance while introducing modern upgrades. Encompassing 17,335 square feet, the project revived both the mansion and its surrounding structures, restoring their original grandeur with expert craftsmanship and attention to detail.
AWARD-WINNING RESTORATION BRINGING A LANDMARK BACK TO LIFE
The renovation features specialty materials such as marble, terrazzo tile, and custom glass glazing. Decorative railings were fabricated to match the mansion’s classical aesthetic, and a commercial-grade kitchen was installed to support the building’s use as a premier event venue. The addition of an elevator further enhances accessibility without compromising the building’s historic character.
This restoration was recognized with the 2010 Florida Preservation Award by the Florida Trust for Historic Preservation—celebrating the project’s outstanding contribution to the fields of restoration and rehabilitation. Today, the Mansion at Tuckahoe serves not only as a preserved piece of Florida’s past, but also as a stunning setting for weddings, galas, and cultural events.
