Downtown Trolley Shelters

West Palm Beach, FL

PROJECT INFORMATION

Designed to improve rider comfort and elevate the streetscape, the Downtown Trolley Shelters project for the City of West Palm Beach introduces a series of thoughtfully crafted structures that blend transit efficiency with civic character. The initiative includes the construction of up to six new trolley shelters, strategically located to serve key pedestrian areas as designated by the City.

UPGRADES THAT SUPPORT A WALKABLE, TRANSIT-FRIENDLY DOWNTOWN

In addition to the new shelters, the project calls for the modification of up to four existing wood trellis structures, retrofitted with new roofing systems to provide better protection from the elements while preserving their architectural integrity. These enhancements aim to create more welcoming and accessible spaces for trolley riders, improving both comfort and function.

A combination of modern materials and classic detailing ensures the shelters integrate seamlessly into the city’s dynamic downtown environment—reinforcing West Palm Beach’s ongoing investment in pedestrian-friendly infrastructure and public transit design.
