PROJECT INFORMATION

This aviation project involved the construction of two new metal building hangars featuring a combined total of 111 bays, designed to increase aircraft storage capacity and modernize operations. The scope also included extensive civil site work, utility infrastructure, and the demolition of 11 outdated shade hangars. The new facilities span a total of 19,800 square feet and include utility connections, a newly constructed asphalt taxi lane, and a dedicated road entrance that links directly to Taxi lane A and Rick Turner Road—providing improved vehicular and aircraft circulation.

PHASED SITE STRATEGY IMPROVES AIRPORT STORAGE AND STORMWATER MANAGEMENT

A key component of the site strategy was the inclusion of a dry detention pond to manage stormwater effectively and ensure compliance with environmental standards. Once the new storage hangars were completed and operational, the original shade hangars located within the Runway Protection Zone (RPZ) north of Runway 7-25 were safely demolished. This phased approach allowed for a seamless tenant relocation and minimized disruption to airport activities. The result is a streamlined and code-compliant aviation storage complex built with long-term efficiency and safety in mind.
