PROJECT INFORMATION
As part of a multi-phase capital improvement initiative, the Southside Redevelopment Phase 1 & 2 at Palm Beach County Park (Lantana) Airport brings transformative upgrades. This comprehensive project focused on improving both airside and landside components to support increased capacity, safety, and operational efficiency.
NEW HANGAR AND AIRFIELD IMPROVEMENTS
Key elements included the construction of a new aircraft storage hangar, as well as the reconstruction of the asphalt apron and taxi lanes, all designed to accommodate modern aviation standards. On the ground side, the redevelopment introduced vehicle access roads, parking areas, and driveways, allowing for better traffic flow and user experience.
The scope also addressed critical infrastructure, with lighting enhancements, upgraded drainage systems, and comprehensive electrical and utility improvements, including power, communications, water, and wastewater connections. To ensure secure operations, the project added security fencing and gates, access controls, and an advanced CCTV security system.
The improvements were rounded out with landscaping and irrigation, helping to integrate the new facilities into the existing environment and elevate the airport’s overall aesthetic.
