SW 2nd Avenue Streetscape

Delray Beach, FL

PROJECT INFORMATION

Bridging civic landmarks with style and accessibility, the SW 2nd Avenue Streetscape and Beautification Project redefined the heart of Downtown Delray Beach. Stretching between the South County Courthouse and the Delray Beach Public Library, this transformation focused on safety, walkability, and aesthetic enhancement.

CREATING A SAFER, MORE INVITING STREETSCAPE FOR ALL USERS

The project included the installation of new asphalt, curbs, and sidewalks, along with ADA-compliant access points to ensure inclusivity for all users. Decorative paver crosswalks were introduced to highlight pedestrian zones, adding both charm and visual clarity to the streetscape.

Complementing the structural upgrades, landscaping and irrigation systems were added to bring greenery and shade, enhancing the overall ambiance of the corridor. The inclusion of modern traffic signalization helps regulate flow and improve pedestrian safety in this high-traffic civic area.

Together, these improvements create a dynamic public space that supports foot traffic, connects community resources, and reflects the city’s vision for a walkable, welcoming downtown.
