Aircraft Rescue & Firefighting Facility

Lee County, FL

Purpose-built to serve as a first-response hub for aviation emergencies, the new 31,000-square-foot Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) Facility exemplifies resilience, innovation, and sustainability in civic infrastructure. Designed to achieve LEED Silver Certification, the facility seamlessly integrates advanced operational requirements with environmentally responsible strategies.

4,800-LINEAR-FOOT UTILITY CORRIDOR SUPPORTING AIRFIELD RESPONSE

The design incorporates dedicated bays for specialized firefighting vehicles, crew quarters, command spaces, and equipment storage. Beyond the core building, the project scope includes a 4,800-linear-foot utility corridor that delivers electrical, communications, water, and sanitary sewer infrastructure. The site is secured with upgraded fencing and includes access road improvements for rapid deployment and safe circulation.

An essential layer of the project is the procurement and installation of specialty firefighting systems and equipment, elevating the readiness of personnel and ensuring compliance with stringent aviation safety regulations. The facility is a model of performance-driven design, built to endure, protect, and support critical airport operations under the most demanding conditions.
